Unashamed of the Gospel!
Fire and Fragrance are a community within YWAM (Youth With A Mission), committed to raising up a generation that carries a fire in their hearts for Jesus that becomes the fragrance of Christ to the lost.
YWAM was founded by American Missionary, Loren Cunningham, in 1960.
Fire and Fragrance South Africa, which base is in Potchefstroom, is made up of over 120 full-time staff, students and interns. They come from 14 nations all over the world to spread the Gospel in Potchefstroom.
The focus areas for Fire and Fragrance includes Prayer and Worship, Evangelism, Training, Media, End Bible Poverty Now and Mercy.
Each focus area has dedicated leadership and teams whose mission it is to put God first and showcase the love of Christ to all. The great commandment of making disciples and reaching the lost os central to the mission of Fire & Fragrance.
According to Fire & Fragrance South Africa:
“Our community is led by our YWAM values, our Fire and Fragrance cultures, beliefs and doctrines found in the Bible. How our base is structured and how we make decisions is directly related to our telos or the internal compass that directs our lives. Our base's telos is relationship - first with God and then with each other.”
